From in the kitchen...need to get rid of that bar ledge on the counter. Waste of space. Posted by Picasa

revised kitchen...the counter depth fridge makes a huge difference. Still have to put the handles on the drawers, and add a range hood. Also trying to figure out what to do with those fluorescent lights.... Posted by Picasa

I am trying find places to repurpose those cement tiles. I am removing most of them in exchange for grass. So I took the old pick axe and chipped away at the slope to make a nice little stowaway from the cans. I also discovered a sprinkler pipe I didn't know about...the hard way. Posted by Picasa

Back slope. My neighbor is adding a roof to his pergola. He offered me a beer last week and said 'you work very hard. I see you in the yard all the time' Posted by Picasa

So as an interim solution I am repositioning the cement slabs. Up close the big gaps look terrible...I think each square weighs about 210-220..you know, whatever it takes. There's norm in the door way. He hates me now because I don't let him out.. Posted by Picasa

The sitting area...and they said there was no view! Posted by Picasa

This is the southern wing. Got rid of the dog run fencing and turned the area into a sitting area. See my lemon tree? that big gree bush on the fence is the cursed bouganvelia. That thing was down to the trunk and 5 weeks later look at it! Ugh. That sloppy stone wall on along the fence has got go...the dirt behind it is rotting the fence (I suppose). Posted by Picasa

more of the northern slope. Most of the fence is gone and I am starting to lay more sprinklers. The bricks that are all over will eventually be turned into a wall running along the slope...behind which I will plant my garden. Posted by Picasa

I gave the rickety old shed that was on the side of the house to the landscapers. See my red wheelbarrow? On the left side is a small slope which was completely overgrown, most of it has temporarily become a compost pile. the upside down picnic table is used to smash branches. Posted by Picasa

Ahhhh, no more picnic park in the middle of the yard! Posted by Picasa

Panning left... Posted by Picasa

Here are some updated backyard pictures...before we moved I I had a couple guys come out to clear off the slope. They went a little crazy with the chain saw...as you will see. Posted by Picasa
